Portage College’s Oktoberfest event cancelled

Portage College has decided not to move forward with its Oktoberfest celebration this year. The school says low ticket sales and other events happening in the Cold Lake area around the same time caused the cancellation.

Anyone who bought tickets ahead of the October 20th event will receive a refund. All phone and internet ticket orders will be automatically refunded and all tickets bought in person can be returned to the College’s Cold Lake Campus.

Although the school has had to cancel this event, officials say they are planning to host a different event in the new year.

The 2nd annual Kids Spring Fling Carnival will be held at the Energy Centre on April 26, 2019.
