Evan Warmington has Committed to the Vikings

***PRESS RELEASE FROM THE BONNYVILLE PONTIACS***
The Bonnyville PONTIACS are very proud to announce that twenty-year-old forward Evan WARMINGTON has committed to the University of Alberta Augustana VIKINGS for the 2015/16 season.

WARMINGTON played 42 games for the PONTIACS this season scoring 38 points. Evan played a total of 259 Junior ‘A’ games with the PONTIACS, Whitecourt WOLVERINES and Spruce Grove SAINTS amassing 136 points. Evan was the co-winner of this year’s PONTIACS Top Defensive Player this season and was the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Player of the Week in January.

“Evan made an instant impact to the Bonnyville PONTIACS both as a player and a person. He was everything a twenty-year-old leader should be playing in all key situations and bringing in a ‘sense of swagger and confidence’ to our young dressing room. Evan plays hard every night and is one of the most coachable kids that I have ever had the privilege of working with. He plays the game the right way and is selfless in everything that he does to ensure that his team succeeds. Augustana is getting a culture player who is even a better person” says Head Coach and General Manager Rick SWAN.

The Bonnyville PONTIACS wish Evan nothing but the very best success in the future with Augustana University. The community, our great fans and our generous volunteers and sponsors are extremely happy for Evan and his family.

Evan WARMINGTON becomes the 20th player who suited up for the Bonnyville PONTIACS in the past two seasons to make a commitment at the College hockey level.
