Lac La Biche FCSS Moving to the Bold Center

The Lac La Biche FCSS is packing up and moving to the Bold Center, starting on Monday.

The department has been undergoing a bit of an expansion as of late, hiring a second outreach worker and trying out some new programs. The FCSS recently held an Elder Abuse Prevention Workshop at McArthur Place, and a “Mental Health 101” seminar in partnership with Alberta Health Services for parents with teenagers, both for the first time. Plans are underfoot to introduce a three day cooking class for teenagers in April as well. They also recently made the bold leap into the 21st century earlier this year by getting a Facebook page to update residents on their programming. If you haven’t followed it already you can do so here.

The FCSS also has new community grant application forms and deadlines. For more details, call (780) 623-6819 or e-mail [email protected].
