Improving residents’ quality of life is a top priority for Cold Lake. Over the past few years Cold Lake’s city council has adapted the mentality that if the kids are happy, the families will be happy, and in turn the quality of life will improve. Mayor of Cold Lake, Craig Copeland, says council has worked hard to bring this mentality to life.
Mayor Copeland says there will be a lot more for kids and families including the expansion of The Energy Centre. The expansion will see a second arena, a large state-of-the-art skate park, and an artificial turf football/soccer field. The City is also working hard on the Kinisoo Beach remodeling, that will come with a splash park and council has approved the installation of a second splash park to be located on the base.
