Lexi Strate Announced As Opener For Kinosoo Ridge SnöJuhla

Rising pop star and former Cold Laker Lexi Strate will be returning to her old haunts next month as she takes to the Bumper to Bumper Sno Stage at Kinosoo Ridge’s long-weekend SnöJuhla on February 18th.

Strate joins lineup that already includes the Funk Hunters, Coleman Hell,  SkiiTour and Neon Steve over the 18th and 19th. The  SnöJuhla (Finnish for Snow Festival) is to celebrate the ski resort’s 35th anniversary. In addition to the live music, snowboard cross, skicross and Rail Jam events are planned as well.

Lexi Strate’s young career has already seen some notable accolades, having just picked up the Western Canadian Music Award for Pop recording of the year and being on the cover of Spotify’s Indie Chillout playlist, which has gotten over 500,000 streams. She also has a Breakthrough Artist prize from Astral Meida and Future Star honours from Bell Media in her past as well. Songs of hers have been featured in TV shows such as Beauty and the Beast and Continuum. Strate will be opening for Coleman Hell at the SnöJuhla. She shouldn’t have much a problem finding her way around the area as she lived in Cold Lake for ten years before moving to Calgary and later setting out on her musical journey.

Passes to the event can be purchased here.
