NLSD Accepting Friends of Education Nominations

The Northern Lights Public Schools Board of Trustees is now accepting nominations for its 2017 Friends of Education Awards.

“Presenting the Friends of Education Awards is one of the highlights of our year because it is our opportunity to thank the people who give their time, expertise and financial support to enhance education for our students,” said Board Chair Mandi Skogen. “We have some amazing volunteers and partnerships that make an enormous impact on our students and in our classrooms. These awards recognize those contributions to Northern Lights Public Schools.”

The Friends of Education Awards recognize organizations or individuals who have made special contributions to education in Northern Lights Public Schools, either at more than one school or for a significant time frame. This is the seventh year the awards will be presented. Last year’s award winners were Laurent Marcil, Village of Glendon, RONA Cold Lake, and Plamondon Co-op. Video profiles of each recipient have been posted on our website. The Board will be accepting nominations for the 2017 Friends of Education Awards until Tuesday, February 28th. Nomination guidelines and forms for the 2017 awards are available on the Northern Lights website. (http://www.nlsd.ab.ca/)
