A New Waterline is Desperately Needed for The Town of Bonnyville

A new waterline is desperately needed for the town of Bonnyville and other Lakeland areas. Mayor of Bonnyville Gene Sobolewski says the town is trying to keep their heads above water as the Building Canada fund does not look like it’ll come through this year.

Mayor Sobolewski says the town is scrambling trying to find ways to fund the mayor infrastructure project and it seems the area has been forgotten about by the provincial government. Bonnyville has been in need of a new waterline for many years and in the last year alone there have been two mayor leaks that have caused many residences to go without water, in one case the whole town was without water for nearly 24 hours.
