CNRL donates 30,000 to community green space at Jackson Field

Residents in the City of Cold Lake and surrounding area will soon benefit from a $30,000 donation from Canadian Natural Resources Limited.

The donation from CNRL is going to be put towards the continued enhancement of the Jackson Field facility at Assumption Jr/Sr High School. Jackson Field is currently in Phase 2 of construction which includes the installation of a rubberized track. The space will be an integral part of the school’s outdoor physical education program while providing a first class facility available to all community members.

Also, it will give the Lakeland Catholic School District an opportunity to host zone track and field competitions and other community events, which in turn, will showcase Cold Lake and all it has to offer.

The field is expected to be completed by 2015.
