Co-op Holds Gand Opening For Gas Bar/Convienience Store

The Lakeland Co-op gathered a sizable crowd this morning as it announced the grand opening of its new gas bar and convenience store.

Renovating the old cardlock, Mayor Gene Sobolewksi and MD Councillor and Dana Swigart were present for the ribbon cutting ceremony.

“Lakeland Co-op is committed to remaining relevant for today’s members and the next generation of Co-op members. This has occurred by growing and investing in sustainable operations such as our new Gas Bar and Convenience Store,” said General manager Mario Bouvier. “This new store is the culmination of months of hard work and planning by many people. It demonstrates the commitment of our Co-op to our members and to the community.”

“Our Co-op is known for quality products at competitive prices with quality service where all members share in the profits. Our Board and Managers are committed to bringing these values to this new enterprise. Anyone can shop at the Co-op. However, only members are eligible to share in the profits,” stated Board President John Irwin.

The Co-op is the seventh convenience store in Bonnyville.
