MD of Bonnyville: Please Don’t Chuck your Furniture in the Dumpster

“M.D. Ag and Waste staff were disappointed to find this scene at one of our bin sites today,” said the MD of Bonnyville on their Facebook page today, including a picture of a couch and loveseat thrown into one of their dumpsters. “We would like to take this opportunity to remind residents bin sites are for bagged household waste and recyclables (where bins are available) only.”

The proper method to get rid of your furniture and other large items is to take them to one of the MD’s seven landfills/transfer sites, which are free to use. You can find a full list of them and the materials each accepts at http://md.bonnyville.ab.ca/DocumentCenter/Home/View/992 or call 780-826-3951 for more information.
