Lac La Biche Newlyweds Donate Flowers to Hospital

After getting married this weekend, Victoria and Paul Rogers of Lac La Biche decided to spread the love around a bit and donated all the floral arrangements from their wedding to the long-term care unit of the local hospital.

“The beautiful bridesmaids that I had suggested the idea” says Victoria, “and I was like “What a wonderful idea! Everybody loves flowers. We had so many flowers we didn’t know what to do with them.”

Victoria’s bridesmaids donated the fifteen or so arrangements containing three roses after the wedding. “The units look very pretty” says Selenne Anistro with the William J. Cadzow – Lac La Biche Healthcare Centre. “It makes the whole atmosphere look more soft and pretty and lively. I myself like flowers so I think they look very pretty and the seniors were very happy.”

Anistro wasn’t sure who exactly donated the flowers at first, but she was eventually able to get in contact with Victoria and thank her. “We are very thankful that they did that. That makes our unit very cheery and happy. It just gives everyone some stimulation to look at something that is alive and makes the whole place look nicer. We appreciate her generosity.”
