Proposed St. Paul Sculpture Hopes to Give Town Another Space Age Landmark

A local St. Paul artist has presented a vision for a new sculpture that would expand on the town’s UFO theme with an educational angle as well.

Herman Poulin is proposing the idea for Canada’s 150th birthday next year. The piece will be a massive 85 foot long structure people can walk through filled with facts about the solar system.  The group Champions for change is seeking a federal grant for the project, estimated at 334,000 dollars and is hoping to get it built near the Iron Horse Staging Area.
