Elk Point Fire Cheif Ken Palamarek is stepping down from his volunteer role after more than fourty years with the department.
With the resignation comes some potential shakeups with the department’s structure. The town is in discussions with the County of St. Paul to have their Chief take over authority with a new paid Deputy Chief in an assistant role serving Elk Point.
