Lakeland Humane Society Looking For Spare Change

The Lakeland Humane Society wants your spare change this summer.

The shelter is starting a campaign to have residents drop off a quarter here and a dime there, hoping that it will add up quickly.

The idea for the campaign began when a soldier from the air base came in with a massive bucket of change. He was getting transferred and decided to give it to the society to get it off his hands. It ended up being over 500 dollars.

On a related note, the shelter has tons of cats right now. If you’ve thought about getting one, now’s a good time.
