Woman Charged After False Domestic Abuse Claim

A 25 year old woman has been charged with Public Mischief after falsely accusing her boyfriend of domestic abuse.

Police received a call from the woman on the morning of the 24th. After getting more information from the woman, they arrested her 36 year old partner. Both were taken to the detachment and through further investigation police determined that the assault had not actually happened. The man was released without charges and the female was charged with Public Mischief and Mischief Under $5000 prior to being released on court compelling documents with conditions.
