Cold Lake to Begin Weed Spraying Program

Cold Lake residents should make sure to look around for signs before cutting through fields over the next while.

The city is starting a new weed spraying project this week. The program cost $50,000, covering 685,000 square metres of grass throughout the jurisdiction. The city decided to go ahead with the program after receiving numerous complaints from residents about dandelions and other weeds.

The fields will be sprayed with a Premium 3-Way chemical. Residents are advised to avoid areas in the process of being sprayed. Signs will be put up to give appropriate warning.
