Cold Lake Firefighters Return From Fort Mac

Cold Lake’s Firefighters have all returned back from Fort McMurray.

Most of the fires near the city have been put out and the wildfire is moving further and further away from populated areas.

15 firefighters in three five-man crews were sent to help fight the blaze and another 20 to 25 were on standby in case things got even worse.

Cold Lake isn’t necessarily finished helping its neighbour to the north though. The city is currently on standby to send two utility operators and one vac-truck up to help start with repairs to Fort McMurray’s infrastructure.
