Bonnyville Not Requested to Host Evacuees at this Time

The town and MD of Bonnyville are working in conjunction with the province to provide help to the fire in Fort McMurray as requested.

Fire Chief  Brian McEvoy has stated “Currently all of the resources are requested. If additional support is needed, we will communicate that to the public. We are also sharing information with the province on available housing for evacuees, should the province need to send people this way. It is important to note, no request has yet been made for housing of evacuees or donations of supplies from this area.”

While all support for evacuees is appreciated, donations to the Red Cross are preferred.
