Plamondon Company to Pave and Grade Old Trail This Summer

Lac La Biche County has awarded a tender to pave and grade the 23 kilometer stretch of Old Trail between the town and Plamondon this summer.

Martushev Logging of Plamondon will take the project on for 14 million dollars. The company estimates it will take 5 months to finish the job depending on weather, meaning an estimated time of completion around October. A brand new walking trail from Plamondon to the Eagle Haunt subdivision will be built as well.

The project was originally planned to be spread out over three years, but with low construction prices in the region, council decided to fast track it.
