Photo Radar Could Come to Bonnyville

Police committee recommends third party photo radar presentation for Bonnyville. At Tuesday’s town council meeting the Police committee urged councilors to invite a contracting company to come present the benefits to photo radar and how they can help serve the town. Bonnyville’s rapid increase of population has caused the RCMP in town to be stretched to the limit and the police committee believes there are many traffic issues that can be better resolved with a photo radar system in place, such as red light violations and speeding. Town councilors agreed to have the contracting company present for them and the police committee at a to-be-determined upcoming council meeting.
