Lakeland Catholic School Division has announced Jody Seymour as its new Deputy Superintendent of System Excellence, a role focused on enhancing teaching quality, encourage inclusive learning and strengthening faith-based leadership in schools across the division.
With nearly 30 years of experience in education, Seymour has served in roles ranging from educational assistant to teacher, counsellor, principal, and faith lead. Her career has spanned every grade level and has been marked by a commitment to supporting students’ academic, emotional and, spiritual growth.
“I truly believe I was called to this role,” said Seymour. “I’m here to serve, to walk beside our families and staff, and to help our children flourish through Christ.”
Seymour is already engaging with classrooms and staff across the division, attending services and offering support. Her approach is rooted in Catholic servant leadership and a want to build relationships based on trust, compassion and shared mission.
Superintendent Sheldon Germain praised her saying, “Jody brings a powerful combination of experience, integrity, and authentic Catholic leadership. Her warmth and wisdom will be a tremendous blessing to our Division as we continue to grow in faith and excellence.”
