M.D. of Bonnyville declares state of local emergency

The M.D. of Bonnyville has declared a state of local emergency (SOLE) in response to a wildfire burning north of Highway 660 and north of Evergreen Estates in the Moose Lake area.

While no evacuation order is currently in place, crews are actively working to extinguish the blaze.

The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority is on scene alongside Alberta Forestry and several local contractors, with support from RCMP and the M.D.’s Public Safety Department who are assisting with traffic control and other measures in the area.
