World Junior A Challenge Coming to Bonnyville

t’s official. The world Junior A challenge is coming to Bonnyville from December 11th to 17h.

One of the major organizers responsible for bringing the event to town, Rob Hunter is thrilled with the news, saying the level of hockey is going to be higher than anything Bonnyville’s ever seen before. Over 200 Alumni from the tournament have gone on to be drafted by the NHL. Expect scouts from all 30 teams to be in town for the week.

The committee has put out an immediate call for volunteers. It;s estimated that 120 will be needed to pull the event off.

The gold medal game will be broadcast live on TSN
