Kitscoty RCMP lay charges in relation to firearm offences

On January 15, at 1:40 AM, Kitscoty RCMP responded to a disturbance call on Range Road 12, outside of Lloydminster.

Upon arrival, one male suspect was identified. Initial investigation revealed that the suspect had used a weapon to hold two females against their will.

A search warrant was obtained for the residence. As a result of the search warrant, multiple items were seized, including:

Rifles, handguns, prohibited weapons and devices, ammunition, and drugs.

Following a comprehensive investigation, Dustin Lee Fialkowski a 36-year-old resident of Lloydminster, has been formally charged with the following offenses:

Forcible Confinement, pointing a firearm, using a firearm in the commission of an offense, uttering threats, assault with a weapon, and possession of body armor while unauthorized. Along with two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, two counts of possession of prohibited device, and 11 counts of unsafe storage of firearms.

Fialkowski was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions. He is to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster on February 6, 2024.
