City of Cold Lake gears up for annual Santa Clause Parade and kick off to Christmas celebration

Get ready to ring in the festive season as the City of Cold Lake announces its highly anticipated Santa Claus Parade on November 24, making the official commencement of the holiday festivities.  

The jolly man in red will lead the parade spreading cheer throughout downtown Cold Lake.  

Local businesses, sports groups, and non-profit organizations are enthusiastically invited to participate by registering early and showcasing their creativity through beautiful, crafted floats. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the community in ushering in the holiday spirit and gaining exposure for your organization.  

Following the Santa Claus Parade, the celebration continues at the Cold Lake Energy Centre with the Kick-Off to Christmas Party. This family-friendly event is free of charge and open to everyone. The City  encourages attendees to bring their cameras for a chance to capture magical moments with Santa himself.  The festivities include sparkle tattoos, a letter-writing station to Santa, and a variety of entertaining games.  

For those who miss the live parade, the City’s Facebook page will feature photos from the event. Allowing the public to vote for their favorite floats. The City will present awards in two categories: Businesses and Non-Profit organizations. 

Honour the winners at a special ceremony featuring the Mayor and City council members. Seize this unique opportunity to be recognized for your effort sin spreading joy and creativity during the holiday season.
