High-speed pursuit leads to multiple arrest in St. Paul

RCMP successfully apprehended suspects following a dramatic chase on October 31st.

St. Paul RCMP played a critical role in assisting the Bonnyville RCMP during a high-speed pursuit that ultimately led to the successful arrest of three suspects.

The pursuit began when a suspect vehicle entered St. Paul’s jurisdiction, with St. Paul RCMP taking swift action to bring it to a halt. A tire deflation device was deployed, disabling the vehicle. Forcing the driver and passengers to flee on foot near RR91 and Hwy 29, just east of St. Paul.

St. Paul members apprehended two suspects after a brief foot chase.

“The third suspect was arrested several hours later after a concerned citizen called advising a suspicious person was observed in their yard,” according to RCMP.

Responding promptly, the St. Paul RCMP arrested the third suspect without further incident, bringing the dramatic pursuit to a close.

The individuals involved in the incident have been identified as follows:

Kannan Desjarlais, 26 years of Cold Lake. Charged with Flight from the police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited, and resisting arrest.

Jaylin Favel, 20 years of Cold Lake. Charged with resisting arrest.

Michelle Watchmaker, 31 years of age. Charged with resisting arrest.

St. Paul RCMP’s rapid and effective response to this incident is a testament to their commitment to public safety. The community can rest assured that law enforcement agencies are working diligently to maintain peace and security in the region.
