The Fighter Jets remain undefeated as they crushed the Airdrie Irish at home 45-8.
The game did not start out with many points on the board with the Jets leading 13-0 at halftime. Teague Sherman the Jet’s Administrator among many other things says this is when the offense really picked up for the team.
“The first half was a really tight game. Then our offense got rolling and the fans got to see a bunch of points hit the scoreboard. I think all together it was a fun and exciting game.”
Sherman says the team was able to read what the Irish’s defense was thinking and move around them to the end zone.
This now marks a 15-game win streak at home. The team has not been defeated at home since the team was moved to Cold Lake. Sherman says it places a target on the team’s back but one they welcome.
“The target is one that every sports teams want so the team’s fans can see wins instead of losses.”
In total 15 points have been scored against the Jets all season.
