The official results for the Provincial General Election have been released with no change in the election of now MLA Scott Cyr.
Cyr and the UCP had claimed 75.5% of votes with a total of 13,315 ballots cast in his name. Caitlyn Blake received a total of 4,327 votes.
The Lakeland saw 51.5 per cent of people cast their votes which was down from 2019’s April 16th voter turnout which saw 65.9 per cent cast their vote.
Last election the UCP had claimed 15,943 votes when David Hanson was re-elected to his second term at the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
