War Amps key tags mailed out to the Lakeland

This week Bonnyville will be receiving its 2023 War Amps key tags.

The key tags are mailed out to Canadians once a year and are then attached to any key ring. Now if the keys are lost the finder can call the number on the back of the tag or drop them in any mailbox in Canada and they will be returned.

The tags service was established in 1946 to help war amputee veterans work for competitive wages and now according to The War Amps website, more than 1.5 million sets of lost keys have been returned to their owners.

The tags will also be sent out to the Lakeland area including Cold Lake and Lac La Biche. To order future key tags, visit waramps.ca.
