Two Hills RCMP report fatality after collision

A collision between a passenger car and a semi-truck has killed one 5-year-old child and injured five other people including four children.

Two Hills RCMP were notified of the two-vehicle collision on March 27 near Willingdon on Highway 45 and Highway 857. The passenger car was carrying five children and one adult when it collided with the semi-truck.

The 5-year-old child was declared deceased at the scene while the other four children and one adult in the passenger car were transported to hospital. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

Traffic was disrupted for some time while the collision reconstructionist investigated the scene.

In a news release, Alberta RCMP Southern Alberta District says their thoughts and prayers to the deceased’s family and friends.
