RCMP charge four people after stolen crashed car found

4 people were arrested after Kitscoty RCMP responded to a crashed vehicle later found to be stolen.

RCMP were called to the area of Range Road 20 and Township Road 53 on March 6th at approximately 1:16 a.m. When officials arrived on the scene an investigation was initiated and the car was determined to be stolen from Onion Lake, Sask. The four people inside had fled but were later located and taken into custody with help from Vermilion and Lloydminster RCMP.

Delaney Dillon, Shayden HILL, Romeo Dillon, and a fourth young offender who cannot be named were all arrested and charged with one count of Possession of Stolen Property over $5000.

“This is yet another great example of RCMP Detachments, from both municipal and provincial business lines, working together to achieve a common goal, being the apprehension of criminals and safety of Albertans,” says Sgt. Corey Buckingham, Kitscoty RCMP Detachment Commander

Romeo Dillon and the young offender were each released on an Undertaking with court set for April 25, 2023, at Lloydminster Provincial Court.

Delaney Dillon and Shayden Hill were both held in custody awaiting Judicial Interim Release Hearings.

Following the hearings, Delaney Dillon was remanded into custody with court set for March 14, 2023, at Lloydminster Provincial Court, while Shayden Hill was released on a release order with court set for March 28, 2023, at Lloydminster Provincial Court.
