Lakelanders, the time to learn is now. The Bonnyville Community Learning Council is celebrating it’s 40th year of serving the Lakeland with the annual Community Awareness and Registration Night. The event comes at no cost and from 4 until 8 tonight (Sept. 4), Lakelanders will be able to check out more than 80 exhibitor booths demonstrating an array of groups, clubs and businesses in the area. The not-for-profit organization relies on capacity building skills and resource sharing with other agencies to identify and address learning needs in the community. The event attracts local residents who become volunteers with the Council, after seeing the number of opportunities to help other individuals in the Lakeland. There will also be snacks and giveaways, including swag and iPad-Mini’s.
