4 Wing flies over Cold Lake this October

Everyone in the city of Cold Lake could see and hear some squadrons from 4 Wing Cold Lake fly over the city this month.

This night flying training will be conducted from October 17 to 21, and October 24 to 28, 2022.

4 Wing says they are trying to be mindful of the community and this training is not meant to disrupt the valuable peace and quiet of the Lakeland.

“Night flying is an essential training requirement for aircrew to gain and maintain proficiency in the safe operation of aircraft in reduced illumination environments. The ability to conduct night missions is vital to our operational capability.”

4 Wing Cold Lake previously conducted night flying training over the City in September from the 26 to the 29.
