Bonnyville RCMP was called to a disturbance at an apartment on the 4500 block of 43 Street just after 9:00 AM.
When officials arrived on the scene they were able to separate the involved parties. RCMP members also found a pump action shotgun hidden under some couch cushions.
The 30-year-old male from Leduc was charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Unsafe Storage of a Firearm, and Assault & Mischief Under $5000.
He was released from custody and will appear in court in Bonnyville in November.
