Town of Bonnyville Releases Interim Budget

The town of Bonnyville has released its interim 2016 budget, which features a 2% increase in overall spending.

Council was weary of increasing property taxes and so aimed instead to cut spending in certain areas to make up for increases elsewhere.

This budget will be used until the property assessments come in and council has a more complete idea of what revenues will look like. Don’t forget town hall has an open house tonight at 7 where you can give your opinion on how you’d like your tax dollars spent.
