Bonnyville Friendship Centre Provides Free Thanksgiving Feast

With such a large transient population and tough economic times in the Lakeland, a lot of people may not be able to put on a traditional thanksgiving dinner or have one to go to. Fortunately, the Bonnyville Friendship centre was able to help by providing a free community thanksgiving dinner yesterday.

The Bonnyville Bandits and Voyageurs were on hand volunteering as well as people from all over Bonnyville came to enjoy some home cooking.

The friendship centre has seen higher demand and lower donations that usual this year, but Ashley Gaulton says there was more than enough to go around for dinner.

The friendship centre accepts donations for more than just food. Clothing and financial donations are more than welcome as well.
