Oilfield Service Truck Stolen and Abandoned, Copper Stolen.

A copper thief or thieves has made off with a large bounty after stealing an oilfield service truck and stripping the cable inside.

Sometime likely after 2 yesterday morning, either an individual or group of people cut the lock to the yard the truck was contained in, then drove it about ten minutes away near highway fifty five, stripped all the wiring and left it by the side of the road, where it was recovered later in the morning. Several tools were stolen during the break in as well.

Given the large quantity of wire stripped in such a short period of time, it’s likely the individual or individuals had equipment to aid them. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact the Cold Lake RCMP.
