Crash in Whitefish Lake FN results in drug possesion charges

St. Paul mounties are saying a crash involving a quad on the Whitefish Lake First Nation has led to charges of drug possession. Police say on September 5th they were called to the area after a truck and a quad collided.

A pair of occupants in the truck were treated at the scene while one of the passengers had to be airlifted to Edmonton by STARS. Mounties say they found both cocaine and oxycodone along with bear spray in possession of the man riding the quad.

A 19-year-old from the Pelican Lake First Nation in Saskatchewan is now facing charges including possession of a controlled substance. He’s due in St. Paul court on October 10th.
