Woman had $5000 in counterfeit cash: Cold Lake RCMP

Police in Cold Lake are saying a woman is facing charges after a large amount of counterfeit money was discovered. Mounties were called to a business on July 28th after an exchange occurred using a large amount of funny money.

Police say the 31-year-old woman had about $5000 in phony cash as well as a small amount of drugs. She’s due to make an appearance in Cold Lake Provincial Court on August 14th

The Cold Lake RCMP are reminding the public to be alert when receiving foreign currency for exchange and to report suspicious activity to local police.
