New pumps coming soon at the Marina

Boaters looking to fill up with Premium gasoline at the Cold Lake Marina can rejoice. The city announced Thursday that the gas pump at the marina will be replaced with one that can supply both regular and premium gas.

Work on pulling the old tank and installing the new one is expected to start soon and take about a month. The new tank will sit above ground and feature a little magic to keep it from sticking out as an eyesore at the marina.

“This project will make two types of fuel available at the marina, fulfilling a request that we have been receiving for some time,” Mayor Craig Copeland said. “As one of our most popular summer destinations, we want to ensure that the marina remains an exceptional attraction for locals and visitors alike.”

In the meantime, boaters will have to gas up somewhere else. The city says no gas will be pumped during the replacement.
