Cold Lake Robbery spree suspect gets 900 days

A man charged with a robbery spree across the city of Cold Lake has been sentenced. Police say on January 14th a man robbed two Essos stations as well as a Red Rooster convenience store. Mounties arrested 20-year-old Jose Morales two days later.

On Tuesday Morales was in Bonnyville Provincial Court where he pleaded guilty to the charges including three counts of robbery. He was sentenced to 900 days in jail. He will also be required to give a sample of his DNA for the national data bank.

As of Tuesday, Morales had 802 days left to serve.
