Ardmore drug bust turns up 40k in meth

Bonnyville mounties say a pair from Ardmore are facing charges after a search warrant turned up $40,000 worth of methamphetamine. The RCMP says officers from Bonnyville and Cold Lake executed a search warrant on a home in Ardmore on January 19th in relation to a drug investigation. A man and woman were both at home at the time and were arrested. Mounties say the man put up a fight while being arrested and ended up assaulting an RCMP officer.

Police say around 393 grams of meth, $2000 in cash and other items were seized. 40-year-old Jason Robert Gauthier faces charges including possession of meth with intent to traffic. He has since been released and will see Bonnyville court on February 5th. The 40-year-old woman faces similar charges. Her name has not been released.
