VSI program back for 2019

A popular way to cut down on veterinary costs around the MD of Bonnyville will return in 2019. Council voted in their January 9th meeting to renew the Veterinary Service Incorporated program for another year. The program helps local farmers with their livestock vet costs. Last year the program paid for around 50 percent of procedure fees, not including the cost of medication.

The program serves a dual purpose says the MD. Not only does it help farmers in the area but it also encourages local vets to practice on livestock. Interested producers in the MD can find more information on the program at the MD website.
