A playground in St. Paul may see an interesting spruce-up thanks to old tires. St. Paul Town Council says they’re sending in an application for a grant with the Alberta Tire Recycling program. Council hopes to use the grant at the playground at the Ballpark Park on 48th Avenue. If all goes well, the whole surface could be re-done using recycled rubber from tires.
The council is also currently looking into the possibility of modernizing the playground equipment at the park. There is no set time frame on when any shovels might get into the ground as of yet.
