Library in the C2? Don’t read into it just yet

You may be checking out a new read at the C2 in Bonnyville in the future. The Bonnyville Municipal Library has expressed interest in moving inside the Centennial Centre. The current location for the library is at 48th street and 49th avenue. The library board has brought up the idea as the C2 looks to fill space left by the departure of Portage College.

The board has stressed that the idea is just a discussion at the moment. Sharing a building and losing what they see as independence has been brought up as a negative. Work would have to be done at the C2 to allow a smooth move-in.

The town has allocated around $1.5 million dollars towards the C2 for work in 2019.
