Man reportedly enjoying chicken wings when Cold Lake mounties found him

Cold Lake mounties say a bizarre break and enter had a poultry target. RCMP say early in the morning on August 20th they headed to Casino Dene on Highway 28 on reports of a break and enter into the main casino building. Responding mounties say they arrived to find a man inside the casino making himself a meal.

Cold Lake RCMP Sergeant Howrisch says the mounties had to play party pooper.

“Security found him and when we arrived, he was in the middle of eating his chicken wings.”

Police believe drugs and alcohol were a factor in the incident. Howrisch says although the crime might seem funny the charges the 19-year-old man faces are no laughing matter.

“He now faces charges of breaking out, theft under $5000 and obstruction. He has court on September 12th”
