Mounties say weapons seized in Saddle Lake raid

Police from St.Paul along with the new Eastern Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit say a search warrant has turned up weapons and led to charges. Mounties say on August 15th they arrested a pair of men at a home in Saddle Lake. After getting a search warrant for the home, Police say they found a prohibited shotgun, ammunition as well as other weapons.

Two men from Saddle Lake will now face new charges including possession of a prohibited firearm. Both are due in St. Paul court on Aug 23rd.

“We will continue to track down repeat offenders in various communities and bring them before the courts,” says Constable Guillaume Wilson, EADCRU. “Disruption of their illegal activities paves the way for safer communities.”
