Psilocybin, cocaine among drugs seized by Cold Lake RCMP

Mounties say a bit of teamwork between Cold Lake detachment and the Bonnyville investigative section have resulted in a seizure of drugs and arrest of a man. Police are saying on the evening of July 26th they executed a search warrant on a home in Cold Lake. Mounties say they found around eight ounces of the Psilocybin, or “magic mushrooms” as well as both cocaine and an unknown quantity of methamphetamine. Police are also saying around $2000 was also seized during the search.

A 32-year-old man from Cold Lake is now facing charges that include possession of narcotics with the intent to traffic. He’ll stay in police custody and see Edmonton Provincial Court on August 7th.
