Bonnyville Mounties arrest three after chase

Police in Bonnyville are saying three people have been charged after a chase in a stolen vehicle last week. RCMP say on May 30th at around 6:15 pm a member of Bonnyville detachment tried to pull over a vehicle that had been reported stolen near Bonnyville town limits. The vehicle took off and was eventually tracked down abandoned in a ditch. Police say some searching led them to arrest a woman they believed away in the truck when it fled.

RCMP learned that another man and woman were also inside the car during the chase. The man was reported to have been armed with a shotgun. The next day, police say they found the second woman connected with the chase on a farm near Bonnyville. A search warrant on a home in Kehewin turned up the male suspect, reportedly hiding in a dryer when he was caught.

A 25-year-old man from Frog Lake, as well as a 25-year-old and 19-year-old woman from Onion Lake and Frog Lake respectively, have been charged with a couple of offenses including possession of stolen property. They’ll all be in Bonnyville Provincial Court in June.
