The Lakeland Centre for FASD Introduces The Joanne Lussier Scholarship

The Joanne Lussier Scholarship is awarded to a student who is pursuing a post-secondary education, and has been diagnosed with FASD. The students must live in The Lakeland area, which includes Elk Point, St. Paul, Bonnyville, Lac La Biche, Smokey Lake, Cold Lake and areas in between.

Audrey McFarlane, executive director of The Lakeland Centre for FASD, says the scholarship is intended to help encourage students to further their education, “we really want to encourage those students that are able to finish high school, to go on to do other things.”

Students who reside in The Lakeland can get an application form on The Lakeland Centre for FASD’s online page.
